About the WFP
The Working Families Party is leading the fight for social, racial, and economic justice in New York state. By pushing for progressive legislation and by also training, recruiting and supporting progressive leaders to run for office, we form a unique bridge between progressive activism and electoral success.
What we do

Interview and Endorse Candidates for Local, State, and Federal Office

Support our endorsed candidates in their primary and general election campaigns

Hold Monthly Chapter Meetings to discuss issues important to our communities

Advocate for our issue agenda at all levels of government

Recruit and Train candidates to run for office
Here in the Capital District, we are working to build a party for the many, not the few. That means we are committed to building a political home for the multi-racial working class, where all people are treated with dignity and respect and are welcome to participate in the political process.
Are you considering running for office or seeking the endorsement of the WFP? The WFP is committed to supporting first-time candidates and candidates from marginalized backgrounds and identities. Please contact us today to learn more about how to run for office in your area.
